Festivals in Brighton this summer/autumn

Welcome to June, and welcome to summer.
We cross our fingers and hope for warm and sunny weather everyday, so that all the Brighton festivals coming up will flourish in the name of festivities.

Kemp Town Carnival / June 4
If you want something that really encompasses the spirit and vibe of a Brighton summer party, then come along to the Kemp Town Carnival. It’s an ambitious and spectacular program of Carnival arts, street theatre, live music and community performances. This year sees the event at its biggest yet with 8 live music stages, sound systems, and performance areas. If you’re feeling celebratory then come along to this one, you won’t regret it.

2/3/4 Festival @ Green Door Store / date TBA
We really enjoy the 2 day long festival Green Door Store puts on each year during the summer. As one of the best small venues in Brighton for new and alternative music, they have a good sense of what exactly is happening in the local music scene, as well as further afield. No line-up has been announced just yet, but we imagine it will be just as eclectic and interesting as previous years.

Colour out of Space / November 18-20
Colour out of space is a yearly international experimental sound festival which happens at The Old Market. We love this 3 day festival, it offers up a wonderful meld of of experimental music, art, and film into a beautifully structured, chaotic live event and party. The festival is wonderfully internationally-minded, with filmmakers and artists coming from all over the globe to showcase their creations.
