Revelation St. Mary’s are pleased to welcome the critically acclaimed Boy & Bear who are bringing their outstandingly great live folk to Ashford.

From Sydney, Australia, Boy & Bear. Initially the solo project of lead singer Dave Hosking, the band has grown into a mighty musical force with their lovely and driven indie folk, packed full of choral harmonies and amazing melodies.

Their latest album, Harlequin Dream reflects more personalised and introspective experiences of the band, compared to their first album Moonfire; with even a homage to Australian singer-songwriter Richard Claption’s relaxed 1970s steel guitar sound in their song Southern Sun.

Boy & Bear have won five ARIA awards, and the release of Harlequin Dream was met with a No. 1 on the ARIA Album Chart on its debut week. with critical acclaim in the UK press and audiences alike don’t miss out on this quality band.

Support comes from the indie-folk 5 piece Dancing Years who will be bringing their “stirring, melancholic singalongs (Q Magazine)” to Ashford.

The Fly: Moonfire is an album big on melody, heart and hooks.”

The Guardian: 4 stars…“Dave Hosking is a moving purveyor of precarious emotional states.”
