SETH LAKEMAN

Seth Lakeman’s high-energy performance and series of best-selling albums has successfully steered English folk music into the mainstream. His new album ‘Ballads of the Broken Few’ will be out Autumn 2016 ahead of his very special show in Brighton.

Seth Lakeman is a multi-instrumentalist and is often associated with the fiddle, tenor guitar, banjo and viola. He has belonged to several ensembles but has now established himself as a solo artist playing a number of live shows over the past few years.

The last few years have been eventful and busy for Seth. In between writing and recording albums he was nominated for the 2005 Mercury Music Prize as well as his special performance of ‘King & Country’ with the BBC Concert Orchestra as part of the BBC Radio 2’s D-Day commemorative Concert at the Royal Albert Hall. Seth has been a guest performer on Tim Rice A Life in song in 2014 making a Christmas Day TV appearance and won Singer of the Year and Best Album awards at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards in 2007.

Seth’s new album ‘Ballads of the Broken Few’ has been produced by Ethan Johns who has worked with Kings of Leon , Joe Cocker and Laura Marling to name but a few and will be released through Cooking Vinyl.
