Melting Vinyl and Put It On Promotions are pleased to announce that Trans will be playing Brighton this coming March at the Green Door Store!

A new project from two luminaries of British indie, born as a reaction to contemporary rock’s over-calculated approach to music production; rather than just playing guitar, ‘actually playing them, using them for what they’re for.’

Trans have recently released their first EP titled Red, on Rough Trade Records, and do not intend to release an album, but instead will release a series of EPs from 30 hours of music they have recorded together. Influenced by the philosophy behind Miles Davies’ In a Silent Way, Butler decided there didn’t need to be any kind of clever strategy in making music as long as it came from the will of the artist.

Trans isn’t here for any big tours, stadium-rock anthems or looking for any kind of approval; instead they’re here to make good music whilst staying low-key. Truly an austere and relatable anti-rock philosophy that makes us excited to have them play live! Don’t miss out!
