From the humble beginnings of a string of visceral sell outs @ the Freebutt in 2005 the energetic pairing of Steven Ansel and Laura-Mary Carter has rendered a devoted fan base most NME tipped bands would sell their bass player for (note: BRS have no bassist to sell – a simple guitar and drums set up will suffice). Where most bands would wimp out, BRS deliver a stinging slap to the face. Their on stage presence can only be compared to a two person riot in a padded box room – brutal without being fatal, yet still involving all the necessary biting and scratching.
