A welcome return of the London based award winning Aurora Orchestra after a blazing Revelation St. Mary’s performance in 2011.
Featuring performances of ‘Wagner / Siegfried Idyll Dukas, and a new commission with Harry Oakwood / The Journey Copland, in which Copland’s iconic work, described as a kind of Appalachian voyage, sits alongside American-influenced alternative/folk
music of Sam Swallow’s band Harry Oakwood (with a nod to Mumford & Sons and Fleet Foxes).
Aurora Orchestra will accompany some parts of Oakland’s work . This performance is a precursor to a live broadcast on BBC Radio 3, and is not to be missed!
