Melting Vinyl & Coalition present…

We’re excited to announce that 21 strong female choir Gaggle are ready to take over Coalition this November!

Started in late 2008, Deborah has directed Gaggle according to a vision of a mass of women on a stage: that’s the first thing you’re supposed to see. Women you’ve not seen on a stage before, and loads of them. The point was not to make something sweet like a choir – but something like a football stadium, where you get power with numbers. To put a different kind of girl on a stage and masses of them. It’s going to get attention, and that’s exactly what Gaggle have done.

So what is Gaggle? The 21 strong female choir lead by Deborah Coughlin make every performance very different, very theatrical, and something you will have never witnessed before. With alt-pop and dubstep like beats, these girls will have guarantee have everyone in Coalition bouncing away. By the end of their first year they had been named in NME’s Top 50 Innovators, and when their debut single did land, the terrifying drunk maelstrom ‘I See Flies’, within a couple of months they had won Best New Band at Camden Crawl.

Gaggle is not an act of positive discrimination not simply a feminist collective. It’s not even a cohesive unit – except in that moment of performance, where it’s an army in uniform. But Gaggle isn’t just about a strong image or a strong sound – it’s about female stories.

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to catch these girls in November!
