Melting Vinyl presents:

Karl Blau & Country Gravel + Fane + Amelia Caesar (DJ)

The Rossi Bar, 8 Queens Rd, Brighton BN1 3WA

Seven years after London’s Bella Union release, Introducing Karl Blau, and their “Fallin’ Rain” hit, and just on the heels of 2022’s Love & Harm release featuring a return to the Country spectrum now mixing a dose of Grunge, Karl Blau assembles a Philadelphia backing band of drums and bass.  With punk musician Corinne Dodenhoff – bassist and vocalist of Philly band Queasy and master home recordist J. Salvage himself – Joseph Krause on the drums, Karl Blau & Country Gravel shared their new, louder brand of country on tours this past Fall to Georgia and parts south as well as up into New England.

Now writing songs for a new record, Karl Blau & Country Gravel head to the UK to test these new songs and share some cuts from Love & Harm  and Introducing and beyond translated live through this exciting three piece.

“…the clear-eyed “Love & Harm” is some of the DIY mainstay’s more accessible work and also among his best.” – Seattle Times
“His anachronistic croon channels mid-century outlaw country, picking up other traces along the way.” – Tiny Mix Tapes
“One of America’s great indie heroes” – NME
