Live from Planet Eigg, The Pictish Trail (AKA Johnny Lynch) is here to entertain you with magnificent tunes, a full band and a selection of brightly coloured bobble hats.
Epitomising trawler beardie chic, The Pictish Trail has just released Future Echoes, the most confident, cohesive and pop-savvy collection of music he has written to date. His eloquent songs have seen him get mentioned in the same breath as his heroes Beck, The Beta Band and Hot Chip.
Every bit the showman, The Pictish Trail has a blazing live set that is positively awe-inspiring. He has been accompanied by everything from acoustic guitar to a full-on four-piece metal band to throbbing dance beats and samples, and often during the course of the same gig.
He has toured with KT Tunstall, James Yorkston, Withered Hand and Sweet Baboo.
