Hailing from Atlanta, Georgia, Moon Diagrams is the solo project of Deerhunter’s Moses Archuleta – a fusion of synthy beats, melodic percussion and light vocals. These 3 elements came together wonderfully on the drummer’s atmospheric debut album, released in June this year. Recorded on the side over the last 10 years, ‘Life Time of Love’ followed on from an EP release in 2015. The album itself was created across 3 different periods of Archuleta’s life, reflecting the diversity of it’s sounds. When finishing up, he found inspiration in Berlin – a city deeply fused in techno which may have influenced his minimal but effective techno tones. Moon Diagrams slides away from the indie rock of his first band, bringing more ambient rhythms to the table.

Being the last solo project to come out of Deerhunter, Moon Diagrams is not one to miss under the arches of the intimate Green Door Store.

‘Lifetime Of Love’ [is] a rather thrillingly one-off, transgressive experience.’ – Loud and Quiet
