Melting Sundown Festival
We’re so happy to introduce a new festival event for Brighton – Melting Sundown – taking place in Stanmer Park on Saturday 19th September.
Embrace nature and musicality with the mindful genres of nu-classical, folk, and ambient electronica at our end-of-summer garden festival.
Our new festival, Melting Sundown, features profound genres and takes place on the wonderful walled grounds of One Garden in Stanmer Park on a late summer evening, with a line-up of quality performers from Brighton and beyond. The site has an outdoor bar and an open marquee.
Together, we’ll aim to create a wonderful space.
LIVE MUSIC AT THE FESTIVAL:
Pillow is a Brighton-based modern classical outfit performing the dark and cinematic compositions of composer and multi-instrumentalist James Osler. The music captures the richness of a classical tone whilst embracing the freedom of improvisation and storytelling of haunting folk-like melodies.
Bella Spinks is a singer-songwriter, composer, and choir leader who shares songs and stories inspired by the human condition.
Jo Burke‘s heartfelt performances of traditional songs explore some of folk’s darker themes, crafted and reimagined in her own unique voice. Her creative work also spans folk theatre and multi-disciplinary collaborations. Jo founded the Brighton Folk Choir.
Fred Hills is a Sussex-based songwriter and drummer. Fred Hills creates instinctive, emotionally driven music nestled amongst cinematic instrumental, alt-folk and reflective indie.
Sophie Sirota is a Whitstable-based artist who runs her own electronica collective events. We have Spirit of Gravity electronica nights to thank for bringing her to our attention. Her music is a bold blend of ambient soundscapes, viola, and electronic vocal effects.
Join us as the sun goes down, while the spirit of nature and summer are still with us, to experience these awe-inspiring artists in the stunning location of One Garden.
