Melting Sundown 2026
“Deep in the depths of the beautiful walled One Garden at Stanmer Park a new musical offering is flowering in the late summer sunshine thanks to the ever inventive team at Melting Vinyl, who remain the driving force behind the Lewes Psychedelic Festival as well a huge range of gigs across the city.
Melting Sundown promises to be an eclectic and creative set of live performances. While the wider surrounds of Stanmer are no stranger to big festivals, this is the first time the walled garden has been used for this sort of event.
The line up ranges from cinematic soundtracks to electronica via folk and singer songwriters. While the focus might not be on huge big name acts, just a few bars of the absolutely stunning โA Beginning And An Endโ by Pillow is enough to have Team Source trembling with excitement at the swirling strings and atmospheric modern classical music.
Similarly the dramatic folk songwriting of Bella Spinks suggests our jaw will be on the floor at this expertly curated line up. They are joined by the dark folk of Jo Burke, the Sussex song writer Fred Hills and the electronica of Whitstable based Sophie Serota.”
