Our favourite sisters return to Brighton, and some other lovelies inside..

THEY’RE BACK! We are so so happy to announce our favourite sisters The Staves are coming back to see us in Brighton in November!

Back in May, the Staveley sisters graced the stage of the Brighton Ballroom and played their intimate, delicate harmonies and array of instruments to a sold out crowd. You could hear a pin drop throughout their set – they enchanted the audience and everyone was left with a happy, warm, fuzzy feeling. Since then, they’ve toured with the likes of Ben Howard and the incredible Bon Iver – this show IS NOT to be missed! On Tuesday they performed a couple of tracks from their recent EP ‘The Motherlode’ on the Radcliffe and Maconie show on BBC 6 Music which you can listen to here (but skip to 1:37:00 unless you want to listen to the entire show. Which you might, we don’t mind.) Tickets for their show at Komedia  are on sale now and are sure to fly out (especially at only £9 each!) Grab yours here while you still can!

The Staves are also bringing along Melting Vinyl favourite Luke Sital-Singh to join them for their tour! Luke supported Rachel Sermanni back in April and the mighty Wild Beasts recently at The Haunt and is going from strength to strength since. His new single ‘Fail For You’ is available here to download FOR FREE! (Totally legal, don’t worry!) After one listen, you’ll be hooked. Promise.

That’s not all the lovely little clips we have for you! Our favourite French boys Francois & The Atlas Mountains were on Channel 4 on Wednesday with a Mercury Prize session. Did you miss it? It was at 1am, so don’t worry if you were in bed – we have a little clip of it here for you! Not only are they playing at Coalition but they are also playing in Ashford at St Mary’s Church! Both of these shows are on our website for you to grab your tickets from, wherever you may be.

James Yorkston has also been hanging out at the BBC, this time on Loose Ends on Radio 4 performing his new single live ‘Boarder Song’ which you can listen to here. The new single comes from his new album ‘I Was A Cat From A Book’ which we all admit is a brilliant album title. Tickets are still available for his Brighton Ballroom show here!

Chat to us via Facebook or Twitter and let us know which of the sessions you liked, and also tell us how excited you are for The Staves. Loads? Not NEARLY as excited as us!
