Upcoming DJs!

Here at MV, we enjoy keeping even the interludes at our shows packed full of exciting, new and innovative music. These are where our brilliant DJs come in!

Coming up we have:

Wax Machine, the moniker for Lauro Zanin (Object Object) who will be Dj-ing at Fear Of Men’s show, at The Hope on September 25.

Brighton based recording producer, songwriter, DJ and Psychedelia enthusiast Lauro is on his mission to reignite the underground sounds of Indie Pop, Shoegaze, Soul, Krautrock, Afro-beat and the revolving genres.

DJ-G, the moniker for Grant, who will be DJ-ing at Sylvan Esso’s show, at Green Door Store, September 30.

Influenced by John Peel’s show, Hove native Grant has been a music lover his whole life. He started putting on gigs, starting in his parents’ kitchen in Davigdor Road, with artists such as Popguns, Blow Up, and Jane Fox from the Marine Girls. He also set up his own record label, La-di-da records, releasing music by How Many Beans Make 5, John Cunningham and Dead Famous People. Grant was also the one who opened up Church Road Studios with Julian Tardo. The studio is still going strong, having recently been the place Fear Of Men recorded their debut album ‘Loom’.

Eva Bowan, who will be DJ-ing at A Winged Victory For The Sullen’s show, at St. George’s Church, October 17.

Polish-born Brighton (UK) based musician, graphic designer and freelance illustrator, Eva Bowan, has an interest that lies in combining organic sounds with electronic rhythms, balancing somewhere in between ambient, experimental pop and psychedelia. She creates captivating surreal worlds and soundscapes inviting on an introspective journey. Her works are a mixture of dreams, hidden fantasies and fears, observing the nature and overanalysing the world around and within.
