Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks are new experimental indie super-group featuring ex-Dirty Projectors member Angel Deradoorian and ex-ponytail drummer Jermy Hyman fronted by one of the most intriguing, innovative musical minds to step out of Brooklyn.
A group of three hippies on a road trip through the backwaters of 2013s rural Music scene fall prey to a murderous cannibalistic band making out of a leather-masked Guitar wielding Avey Tare (Himself, Animal Collective), his knife-wielding keyboard player Angel Deradoorian (Deradoorian, Dirty Projectors), and their cannibal chief Drummer and decaying grandfather Jeremy Hyman (Ponytail, Boredoms, Dan Deacon.)
Hailing from Brooklyn NY and signed to Paw Tracks in Washington DC Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks at Brighton’s legendary Green Door Store under the subversive arches of the station is a must.
