Hijack Gigs for Kids Festival and Melting Vinyl presents:

Let your child be the coolest kid in the playground by making this their first ever gig:

The Downing Street Years + No Middle Name

Just like music promoters Melting Vinyl bring Brighton the best of new music, they’re doing the very same thing for the youngest of music fans. Get a first taste of a gig with The Downing Street Years, a husband and wife and the energetic-noise-punk duo from Brighton. Playing drums/guitar and vocals they keep each show unique, raw and unpredictable – a mesh of punk/alternative rock with ghostly melodies floating around the sweaty madness.

Support comes from : No Middle Name is the lo-fo dream pop project of David Bailey. Pop that permeates creativity. A complete champion of DIY even making his own animations and artwork.

Hijack Children’s Festival 2014

Hijack Children’s Festival puts Brighton and Hove into the hands of children and families. Taking over venues, libraries and Jubilee Square between Saturday 12th – Monday 21st April 2014 Hijack is full of interactive and innovative events created by fantastic artists, especially for 3 – 11 year olds (and their adults).

With the help of technology and your friends imagine what a new world might be like, watch a film in your own home at bedtime along with other families across the city, or share a wish for your community on a huge map of Brighton. You can go to a gig, watch classic Buster Keaton films, experience a metal man’s workshop or see dinosaurs up close.

Do something a little different during the Easter holidays!
