Revelations St Mary’s Presents…

We’re thrilled to announce that The Staves will be making a special visit to St Mary’s Church in Ashford this April!

Having recently provided backing vocals for albums by Tom Jones and Fionn Regan, and toured with Willy Mason, Josh Ritter, James Vincent McMorrow, and Mt. Desolation, among others, these three Watford sisters are in real demand at present, and their schedule’s only got busier since their debut album ‘Born And Grown’ was released in October.

Produced by the legendary Glyn and Ethan Johns (whose combined credits include the likes of The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, Ray LaMontagne, and Laura Marling to name but a few), The Staves’ album is a brilliant showcase of their talents.  A melding of still, bright English folk and sublime West Coast pop, their music is awe-inspiringly beautiful live, as on record.

Make sure you don’t miss this opportunity to catch this headline performance in the surroundings of the beautiful St Mary’s Church.

Tickets on sale 25/01/13!

‘Beautiful harmonies are given the space to soar over unadorned acoustic guitar… Great potential.’ – For Folk’s Sake

‘Although the ethereal delicacy of Mexico cuddles the packed venue with its simple lyrical melody, there’s a liquor swigging edge. They’re not merely nice sisters singing ditties — there’s a down to earth Watford drawl amid the beauty of Icarus’ ebbing harmonies, giving a natural credibility which folk often lacks.’ – Londonist

‘The sheer quality of their performance and songwriting means it’s hard not to see The Staves shifting thousands of records and becoming a staple of radio playlists.’ – This Is Nottingham
