Vive La France! 2011

Starting 2011 with a bang, Melting Vinyl in association with Bureau Export and Les Inrockuptibles brings the creme de la creme of French music to the bohemian surroundings of Brighton’s North Laines for the third annual Vive La France! Festival, held between the 27th and 29th January 2011. With an eclectic mix of genres taking centre stage at Komedia, The Hope, The Basement, The Duke Of York’s Picturehouse and Plateau, Vive La France! 2011 provides a musical, cinematic and gastronomic flavour of France guaranteed to tantalize Francophiles as well as those less familiar with the cultural offerings from across The English Channel.

Building on the success of previous years, Vive La France! 2011 provides explosive indie, electro/pop, enchanting chanson and French-infused world music as well as intimate after hours DJ sets at the new venue to enjoy wine, beer and bites, Plateau in Bartholomew Square. With names such as Melanie Pain (Nouvelle Vague), Punks Jump Up (Kitsune), The Shoes, Anoraak and Chapelier Fou, among others set to captivate audiences, Vive La France! 2011 promises to surpass the amazing scenes of 2010, and further establish itself as a firm favourite within Brighton’s cultural calendar.
