Devendra Banhart Announced + Electric Dreams THIS SATURDAY!

First big news of the day IS….

King Creosote has now COMPLETELY SOLD OUT!

Yep that’s right! After selling our St George’s Church in 2012 with Jon Hopkins, King Creosote has now sold out the hidden and atmospheric Basement venue, so to everyone who managed to grab a ticket we hope you enjoy it and we’ll see you there!!

Speaking of St George’s Church, our  favourite church in Brighton will be featured on Radio 4 tomorow at 8pm on the ‘Any Questions?’ show. At St George’s in the past, we have brought to you Martha Wainwright, Bonnie Prince, Tindersticks, Iron & Wine, King Creosote & Jon Hopkins, Sinead O’Connor and Brian May & Kerry Ellis. This stunning venue has had the knockout Fairport Convention already, and next we have Edwyn Collins on 25th April. Tickets for this are selling fast, so if you missed out on King Creosote and you’re now kicking yourself, grab a ticket for Edwyn Collins! Don’t say we didn’t warn you…

Also it’s NEW ANNOUNCEMENT TIME!

Yes, very exciting, but we did announce this on Monday but incase you missed it, we’re happy to announce that Devendra Banhart will be performing live at T.O.M The Old Market in June!

His new album ‘Mala’ (the Serbian word for “small,” but used colloquially in Eastern Europe as a term of endearment like ‘sweetie pie’!) has already been creating a buzz. Back in January he appeared on Lauren Laverne‘s show on 6 Music (which you can listen back here) and has been chatting away to Pitchfork about love and medieval feminists… oh and of course the new album. Tickets are on sale now!

That’s not the announcement we have this week.. also coming up this year is…

…We can’t actually tell you until tomorrow! But keep looking at our Twitter @MeltingVinyl for a fab announcement in the morning! Any guesses? We’re not giving you any clues so tweet us with your guesses and we’ll.. well we’ll just keep you guessing!

Also don’t forget THIS SATURDAY is finally FINALLY nearly here! We will be transforming the Towner gallery in Eastbourne into YOUR Electric Dreams! Come with us and explore the work of Kelly Richardson, with real landscapes distorted with digital effects the gallery will be transformed into another world. Not only that, we have performances from Melting Vinyl favourites Grasscut, Alphabets Heaven, Fallow, Dan Powell and a dance performance from traditional folk dance group Ceyda Tanc Dance!
