Friday, Friday, exciting news for a Friday…

Here at Melting Vinyl do love to spoil you lovely people, so we have a whole load of new announcements and of course the rest of Brighton Japan!

TONIGHT! Another wonderful Brighton favourite CanTina hosts her extraordinary supper club creating a special Japanese themed edition of her underground events. Among the menu treats are pea and tofu vichyssoise and white sesame pannacotta with salted pistachio praline – Yum!

Finally to end the festival tomorrow we have Tokyo Sounds New Music Showcase – yes it’s back, and so are No Cars! Back after popular demand, the three eccentric, sugary pop girls are headlining this years showcase, along with smallgang and their big sounding guitars and their experimental, indie sound and Ken Kobayashi, the delicate sounding acoustic side to this year’s showcase.

Tickets are still available for these two and can be found on the Brighton Japan website here.. just a click away!

If you’ve been hiding under a rock in the past week, you probably haven’t realised that we announced the great WILD BEASTS to play an intimate show at The Haunt July 14th! Last time they were here tickets flew out incredibly quickly so you’ll have to move fast on this one – don’t miss this opportunity to catch one of our finest bands up close and personal, for one night only. We are SUPER excited about this one!

Want another fabulous announcement? The day before Wild Beasts (July 13th) We bring you the uniquely endearing PERFUME GENIUS to play at The Green Door Store! For anyone who missed his intimate shows earlier this month or his uniquely endearing Great Escape performance in May, this will be absolutely unmissable. Tickets are on sale right NOW and you can get them HERE!

And one final treat for you all.. tickets are now on sale for the exciting and adventourous MICACHU & THE SHAPES! Mica Levi and her shapes are coming to visit at Coalition in October but be sure to grab your ticket fast, as they always puts on an impressive display and you won’t have seen anyone quite like them, and won’t forget it in a hurry! Buy your tickets HERE!

We hope everyone has had a fantastic time at Brighton Japan so far, remember to tweet and Facebook us your highlights of the festival!
