Beating The January Blues…

Now we really are stuck in to January and the festive period is officially over, it’s time to get really excited for the two shows we have coming up in just 3 weeks time!

On the 31st, David Bazan of Pedro The Lion fame comes to The Basement. Just before Christmas (all that time ago) David Bazan appeared on Going Off Track, a pretty cool music podcast. During his visit he talks about his unique career trajectory, his well-documented struggles with religion and how over the years he’s learned to balance both music and family. A very interesting and special episode indeed.

He’s also released a teaser video for the tour – just so you know what magic to expect! Have a listen here!

With these stories plus his music coming together at Brighton’s atmospheric and wonderfully hidden venue The Basement, This is a show you really really don’t want to miss. Tickets are still available just here!

On the 3rd of February head over to the Latest Music Bar to catch the fantastically brilliant Erin McKeown!

Here’s a couple of facts you might not know about Erin – Over the last decade, she has spent an average of 200 nights onstage each year(!) and she’s had her music placed in numerous films, television shows, and adverts. We’re told that she’s only just getting started…

Her new album ‘Manifestra’ can be streamed online at NPR Music here but only for a limited time so get clicking & listening. Tweet us @MeltingVinyl and tell us your favourite tracks! Tickets for her show at the Latest Music Bar are still available here!

So, there’s two great ways of beating those horrid January blues..
