Get Ready For 4 Shows Next Week!

We’re really stuck into June now, and we have 4 shows next week and one the week after! But on Tuesday we had our first show of the month. The mighty Sallie Ford & The Sound Outside. Her raunchy Rockabilly vocals and lyrics filled the room at Komedia’s studio bar, and she told us how she loved Brighton, mainly because of the mint/Jade green colour along the seafront is the same as her guitar. Well, we knew you would love that Sallie. Some great pictures are on our Facebook for you to have a look at.

Last week we told you we had another great announcement, and if you missed it, we announced that 1980’s legend Men At Work singer and guitarist, and occasionally popping up in one of our favourite comedies Scrubs, Colin Hay will be live at Komedia this November! Now at Melting Vinyl we all love Scrubs, and have been discussion the best Colin Hay Scrubs song and I think we’re all agreed that Overkill is the one. Tickets for Colin Hay are on sale now here!

We also have ANOTHER announcement today for you! We’re really happy to welcome The Be Good Tanyas at St George’s Church this August! Formed in Vancouver in 1999, the girls have captured the hearts of fans and critics alike for their unique mixture of deep country, early American folk, old-time blues and gospel, watch Littlest Birds to understand their beautiful mix! This is guaranteed to be a really special night, tickets available now from here!

And some other news for shows coming up…

Mark Mulcahy is streaming his WHOLE NEW ALBUM on Paste Magazine ahead of next week’s release, June 17! Yay! We know some of you have been dying to hear this, so have a listen here!

Also, Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks have finally posted their live debut on Pitchfork! We’re so excited for this show so we were pretty happy to see what we have instore. Some people have already told us that they’re avoiding anything as they want to see it for the first time on the night, but if you like a cheeky spoiler, then click the link here!

Next week is the week of –

Electric Soft Parade – Monday 17th – Green Door Store
Melt Yourself Down – Wednesday 19th – Komedia Studio
Avey Tare’s Slasher Flicks – Thursday 20th – Green Door Store
