Hold onto your hats, because we’ve got something very special in store! Melting Vinyl can announce that Beach House have handpicked an intimate Brighton location to perform in celebration of the release of their new album this May!

On the 23rd May 2012, the band will fly in to play an exclusive show at The Haunt. Limited Tickets are now on sale from here!

With Bella Union’s Baltimore duo announcing the release of their hotly anticipated new record, the follow up to 2010’s brilliant, memorable, and widely acclaimed Teen Dream, 2012 is already shaping up to be an exciting year for fans, and this Brighton performance should put the cherry on the cake. With last year’s appearances at Animal Collective’s All Tomorrow’s Parties and Portishead’s I’ll Be Your Mirror whetting the appetite for new material, this will be a one off chance to get up close and personal with Baltimore’s finest as they mark their triumphant return to these shores.

With previous years seeing much larger shows sell out in the blink of an eye you’ll have to act quick to catch the dream-pop twosome for this one off performance!

Teen Dream… is both the most diverse and most listenable of their three full-lengths. It feels like the product of careful, thoughtful growth, bringing in new influences– bits of mid-1970s Fleetwood Mac, sparkling indie pop, even a few soul and gospel touches— while maintaining the group’s core sound. Teen Dream is a stirring reminder that good things can happen when you move out of your comfort zone. Pitchfork

The most unmistakeable sound on Teen Dream is that of a band truly finding its own voice. In so doing, they may just have minted the new decade’s first essential album. BBC Music
