Revelation Ashford presents:
“Her thrilling, tightly wound post-punk guitar is glazed by her Nicoish impressionistic vocals… Long may Le Bon continue to weird up the rulebook.” The Guardian – 4 Stars ****
Cate Le Bon is a singer-songwriter from Penboyr, Wales who combines sounds and styles from the past in a more than creative way. Le Bon cites the band Pavement as instigating her musical coming-of-age and is sometimes lumped into the ‘nu-folk’ genre with other artists such as Devendra Banhart and Joanna Newsom, however Le Bon approaches her music in a less eccentric and more demure way. Le Bon’s debut album Me Oh My came out in 2009 and her third album Mug Museum was released late last year to critical acclaim. Le Bon plays with all kinds of moods in her music, creating a kaleidoscope of feelings. She has been playlisted on 6 music, and championed by the radio station. Her new album ‘Crab Day’ was released this year and has received huge critical acclaim with a sold out tour in May.

Support comes from:
Tim Presley
San Francisan Tim Presley, who also goes by the artist name
White Fence, will join Cate Le Bon on tour as the support act at her upcoming Revelation performance. Tim and Cate (currently neighbours in Los Angeles, California) have worked on a number of projects together, including performing as their own duo ‘DRINKS’. Cate also produced Tim’s most recent album ‘The WiNK‘, released by Drag City records in September this year.
Described as a ‘stark, stream-of-consciousness odyssey’, ‘The WiNK’, is a genre-bending reinvention of classic rock, ‘trading jet-thrusting psychedelia for the rickety twang common to “Bike”-era Pink Floyd’.
Elf & Stacy
Hastings dark electro-pop duo Elf & Stacy began life on a West Dulwich building site in London in the summer of 2012. The duo were working & living on site and in the evening had to make their own entertainment; inspired by night’s out in Brixton, the duo then returned to the fresh air of St Leonard’s-On-Sea where they recorded their first EP Backbone – a 3 song, dark compendium of subtle yet infectious pop tunes.
