In celebration of her latest album release ‘Joan Of All’ via Ocean Omen, exquisite sing-songwriter Sarabeth Tucek will be joining Melting Vinyl for this special headline show.
Sarabeth Tucek is an American singer-songwriter whose exploration of genre blending creates an exciting catalogue of contemporary music, having played live sessions for Marc Riley (6 music) and worked with Bill Callahan (Smog) & Brian Jonestown Massacre, Tucek is ultimately a folk songstress who refuses to be stylistically pigeonholed, with elements of Desert Rock, Americana, Psychedelia, Slowcore, and dream pop amongst others seeping into her collective material. Although rustic at her very roots, Tucek writes powerful folk songs which make the listener feel like they have finally found a sense of adventure and soundtrack to their life.
“Her rich, sad voice makes her rise above the pack” – Daily Telegraph
“A cut above most contemporary female singer-songwriters, certainly” – Headheritage (Julian Cope’s Website)
“You may have just found your new comedown queen. Let every gentle note and piercing word move you
slowly and surely to tears” – Time Out
*Due to unforeseen circumstances, Luca Wilding has had to pull out of supporting SBT but Michael Baker will be taking his place as opening support*
Michael Baker
“The simplest of things can be the most effective. Michael’s music is sparse, yet often deeply moving.” Mahogany Brighton based Indie Folk artist Micahel Baker’s music has been compared to the likes of The Villagers, Sufjan Stevens, and Bon Iver.
