With an estimated 12,000 visitors each year, the Create Festival is one of the South East’s biggest FREE music festivals. Taking place in Victoria Park in Ashford the Create Festival will be celebrating its 21st birthday through music, dancing, markets and theatre! The festival will be hosting 4 live music stages including the main stage, Revelation stage, Fountain Stage and DJ Stage; with this year’s headliner being ‘David Live’ (David Bowie Tribute act) with the aim to capture the sounds of David Bowie over the decades.
New to the 2016 Create Festival will be the fountain stage. This year the festival will also be celebrating the 175th birthday of Mr George Harper. By hosting a new community stage, artists, acts and community groups can help tell the story of one man’s love for Ashford and its iconic fountain. Artists seen on this stage include, Charley Monroe, The Tomcats and Sam Ryder. In addition to this, the intimate, epic and atmospheric Revelation St Mary’s will be hosting a live music stage with artists such as Gentlemen of Few, Silent Crowd and Warsaw Radio. Revelation takes this opportunity to celebrate past and future artists who have played for St Mary’s by creating a line-up that features a cross-section of the unique and diverse talents of Kent performers in anticipation of Create Music Festival.
