Set to release their debut full length ‘Transmissions Or Not’ in early 2012, Gannets form the missing link between the world of the instrumental avant-garde and the experimental vanguard of pop, their sprawling, richly realised compositions both abstract and immensely satisfying.

Featuring Guillemots frontman Fyfe Dangerfield on guitar and keyboards, this six-piece have been gigging since 2004, and have cultivated a reputation for winning over a wide range of listeners, taking the jazz improv tradition in new and exciting directions.

The band’s playful sense of melody and masterful skill with off-kilter rhythm has led to their being hailed as ‘one of the highlights of the London Jazz Festival’ by Time Out, and we’re thrilled to bring their gloriously idiosyncratic live show to Brighton for the first time.

Don’t miss this chance to catch one of the UK’s most unique and beguiling outfits first hand – we guarantee it’ll be an experience that you won’t forget!
