September Support Acts
We’re showcasing some great acts this September, but let’s not forget the incredible support acts we have lined up, too.
Sylvie Lewis is a London-born folk artist with a knack for captivatingly descriptive and poetic lyrics. In her early years, her inspirations included ‘The Sound of Music’, and she graduated from Berklee College of Music. She will be opening for Dawn Landes at Komdia (studio) in Brighton on the 8th September.
BitW is a member of Snowdonia’s premium surf outfit Y Niwl, he’s also played with Gruff Rhys, H.Hawkline and Eleanor Friedberger. BitW music is full of hooks and musical charm. The resulting music on his debut is one that sparkles with that inherently Welsh tone yet also feels much wider and all encompassing. he opens for Gruff Rhys at the Quarterhouse, Folkestone on the 11th September
Noah Yorke has been surrounded by music from an early age. This, combined with rich creativity, is the basis for his emotive sound and captivating harmonies. He will be opening for Route 500 at The Prince Albert (Brighton) on the 13th September, alongside the ethereal melodies and glistening guitar rhythms of Marwyn Grace.
The multitalented singer and composer Jack Cooper has been part of multiple bands, including Modern Nature and Ultimate Painting, before his first solo release ‘North of Anywhere’ in 2017. He released his debut album ‘Sandgrown’ later that year, followed up with the experimental composition ‘Arrival’ in 2023. The uniquely versatile artist is set to open for Ryley Walker on September 18th at The Prince Albert.
DaemöniK Fonce are a London-based band. These five musicians previously from separate bands came together to create a mix of punk, psychedelia, and poetic lyrics. They have been invited to support acts including Sea Power and Jim Jones and are now supporting Pictish Trail at The Green Door Store on the 27th September.
Sekinue (Esme Anderson) is a singer-songwriter and instrumentalist known for a sense of intimacy throughout their music, basking in topics that are typically shied away from. Creating a delicate balance between the beauty of their harp melodies and the rawness of the lyrical content. They are set to open for Dominie Hooper at The Greys on September 30th.
