A Towner club night in association with Melting Vinyl

Come and immerse yourself in the Dark Season! Towner’s legendary club nights in conjunction with Melting Vinyl return with a folk feel, inspired by their folklore and photography exhibition… With a cappella Sea Songs and Shanties With Hastings Shantymen & Rattlebag, a sneak preview of a new performance art show from The Baron, wandering minstrels Will and Ed, RATCO mummers folklore theatre and coming local folk band Early Ghost.

You will be able to sing along with Early Ghost (who have previously played with Beirut) on a number of specially arranged folk songs in a unique performance with Youth Concert Band.  Feed a Hoodening Horse, have your face painted, make a headdress, discover your future loved one, browse the exhibition while Jo Burke and the Handbell Ringers perform live, have your portrait taken for an online Flickr exhibition, sample local ciders and ales and generally have a good old knees up!

Come in folk character – see Towner website for costume inspiration.  Prizes will be awarded by our Folk Panel, led by Simon Costin, Director of the Museum of British Folklore.
